Stabile: An object that rests on the ground; it should follow the theories of line, movement, and form. The stabile is the counterpart to the mobile, which is suspended in the air. Both mobiles and stabiles should interact with their environment as to become one with the setting. This in turn creates certain states of consciousness that energize the location.
